"I started with Amorah after a second divorce led me to ask the deep questions about what path I wanted to follow towards dating, intimacy, possible remarriage in the future.
The landscape shifted so dramatically over fifteen years, I was unsure about what role a new relationship would have in my life. Honestly, I was content being single in most ways, and I wanted to figure out how to take initiative to get what I was missing.
I didn’t want to date ‘just for sex’. That made no sense, in light of how willing people were to hook up.
I also didn’t want to repeat a pattern of building relationships that ultimately failed to meet mutual needs.
As soon as I spoke to Amorah during our initial consultation, I knew that it was worth a try. I wanted to make sure I was comfortable with some of the spiritual aspects of the course, because I’m kind of a concrete, nuts-and-bolts guy.
After our first session I was sure it was a fit for me. It challenged me in good ways. I said a lot of things out loud that I never had before. But it wasn’t like talking to someone who was psychoanalyzing you. I felt like a weight lifted off my chest.
Amorah guides you through each session in a structured way that takes detours as ideas or experiences pop up.
You feel like she really gives deeply of herself when you’re in session. New things come up each time. Sometimes, something that seemed like a big deal is really nothing. Sometimes a topic that doesn’t immediately seem relevant circles around to be just the thing you wanted to discuss. Amorah provides the ear and the feedback of a confidante, fellow traveler, and guide.
I have had nine sessions, and each time I go back out into my regular week with a sense of relief and a feeling that I can go about my life with greater clarity and equanimity because I understand myself better.
That’s where the real world results kick in. It makes you more confident with women in every interaction because you know more about who you are and what you’re looking for. It makes you want to do things you might have never tried, or things you put down years ago as ways to express yourself. (Like writing for my own enjoyment, in my case.)
